Why there is no single price
Two PPF quotes for the same car can be very different, and both can be fair. The price depends on how much of the car is covered, the car itself, the film, the preparation needed and the warranty behind it.
1. Coverage
A front-end package (bonnet, bumper, fenders, mirrors) uses far less film and time than a full body. Some owners add door edges, sills or the roof.
2. The car's size and shape
Larger cars and complex shapes, with deep curves, vents and sensors, take more film and more careful edge work.
3. Film type
Clear gloss, matte and coloured PPF are different products. Colour and matte films change the look of the car as well as protecting it.
4. Paint preparation
Film shows what is underneath. A car with swirls or defects may need paint correction before film, which adds time.
5. Warranty and installer
A certified installer and a manufacturer-backed warranty cost more than an unbranded job, and are worth comparing line by line. Our PPF is STEK, with a 12-year warranty.
How to compare quotes
Ask each installer for the same coverage, the film brand and line, the warranty in writing, and what preparation is included. Then compare.
